Controlling the motion directions (XYZ), the speed and resolution of motion of the miBot manipulators is achieved either by means of a USB control pad (gamepad or joystick), or with the miBot Remote Control (MRC) software. For either means, the MRC software is needed, as it serves as an intuitive high level interface with the miBot manipulators.
Most of the functions can be controlled with the control pad, allowing you to focus your full attention on the experiment being carried out.
Speed, resolution and driving modes for the horizontal (XY) and vertical (Z) displacements are controlled separately. This feature is especially well-suited for the control of fine positioning in an electron microscope where depth of focus is limited.
